As a foster parent of five children, Lucy felt it was a huge blessing for her oldest foster child to take part in CROS Ministries’ camp program. Her daughter enjoyed her summer and will always remember the experiences she shared with other campers.
CROS Camp is a nine-week summer day camp program for children, who have completed kindergarten and just finished 8th grade, living in Title I zip codes (neighborhoods receiving federal funding for schools where at least 40% of the students are from families with low incomes) in Boynton Beach and Lake Worth. Our camp program promotes school readiness, ensuring proper nutrition, and guaranteeing a safe nurturing place for campers to call “home” during the day. CROS Campers receive lunch, and snacks daily from Palm Beach County’s Summer BreakSpot program and breakfast as needed. Camp activities include: laying the foundation of Christian values, on site or off-site field trips, academics, music, sports, arts and crafts.
