The public can call the number below to schedule an appointment to get help applying for Food Stamps, Cash Assistance, and/or Medicaid. The City of Delray Beach has partnered with us by providing space at their Neighborhood Resource Center (141 SW 12th Avenue in Delray Beach) for volunteers to assist people with the web-based ACCESS application. Appointments are available Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Call (561) 271-1566 for an appointment. If you would like to volunteer for the ACCESS program, call Juanita Bryant Goode at (561) 243-7634.

How we've helped Peter came to The Caring Kitchen destitute, with both hands immobile due to an accident that occurred at his place of employment. He was not collecting unemployment and not following up on medical care due to the depression he was experiencing as a result of the accident and his employers refusal to take responsibility for the incident. The staff at The Caring Kitchen helped Peter to connect with a doctor who performed the initial surgery and encouraged Peter to seek legal assistance. Staff also provided rides to and from the doctor and received mail and messages at the Kitchen for Peter. After a tough fight, Peter is now working as a cab driver. His hands are nearly healed and he has a place to live.
