The Caring Kitchen, a program of C.R.O.S. Ministries, was created over ten years ago to feed the hungry, enable people to become self-sufficient, and build community. The Caring Kitchen serves meals to the hungry and shut-ins in Delray Beach.  Our programs depend on the generosity of our community, through the time committed by volunteers and donated food.  In 2009, 102,240 meals were served representing a 7% increase over the year before.

Earl Stewart Toyota of North Palm Beach joins Homeless Advisory Board Food Drive

Drive continues through Holiday Season...

Employees and customers of Earl Stewart Toyota of North Palm Beach donated dozens of bags of non-perishable food to the CROS Ministries Food Bank and the Alpert Jewish Family & Children's Service Kosher Food Bank as part of the Palm Beach County Homeless Advisory Board's food drive during the commemoration of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week in Palm Beach County.

The effort is part of the county's Homeless Advisory Board's Ten2End initiative to educate and involve the public in its 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness in Palm Beach County. Addressing hunger is an important element in solving the problem of homelessness.

The food drive continues through the holiday season. The public can pick up food collection bags at Earl Stewart Toyota of North Palm Beach, located on U.S. 1, just 1/4 mile south of Northlake Blvd, or simply drop off their food donations at the dealership between now and Christmas.

The 16th Annual CROS Walk

The goal of the CROS Walk is to raise funds to assist C.R.O.S. in the vital ministry to our brothers and sisters of Palm Beach County. The CROS Walk, our annual fundraising event for the past 15 years, takes place on the second Sunday in October.

Congregations, groups and individuals collect pledges based on a 5K walk on Flager Drive along the Intracostal Waterway in West Palm Beach. The CROS Walk Recruiter Rally is held each August in Delray Beach and West Palm Beach to instruct people who will recruit walkers from their congregations or groups. Call the C.R.O.S. office at (561) 233-9009 x103 for information about sponsorship and how you, your congregation or your group can be involved or e-mail info@crosministries.org
